$5 one hand tourney, no betting? |

A few of us were drinking last night and decided to play one hand for $5 (4 of us) no betting, basically texas hold em stud. Ok I think, sure what the hell one hand just to do it. We all get out cards and basically just flip them over. I get A,4, look around and see big slick sitting next to me. Oh crap. Flop comes 4,4,8. I'm all set I think until I notice the other guy next to me has pocket 8's.
lol he would of broke me in a live game with that hand.
I highly recomend if you get the chance to play that, you just pass.

Yeah we do this while we wait for more people to show up. One time we got a $20 hand with 6 people. I think a pair of fours took it. lol I stick with the $1 shot ones. I still came out ahead.

We call it show down. We usually just throw a $1 or $2 in the pot, as the last hand or two before we call it a night, but usually its just a straight seven delt face up to everyone.

We play that sometimes for fun. But what we do to make it a little more interesting is deal 2 or 3 hands out to each person with one card face up. Then we go in turn from the dealer and everyone picks one of their hands only knowing what the top cards are. Then we deal it out with no betting. Still no one knows what there bottom cards are yet. Whoever has the highest hand out of the 6 cards showing shows his bottom card first then the next person in order from highest to lowest. we usually put 5 bucks in each and then have a best of 7 series. Whoever collects 4 chips first wins the pot. You get a chip for each hand won.

When bored we play dollar hands. So every one gets 2 cards and its free to see flop.(no ante) But then after that yoou can bet a dollar or max $5. If you have no hand and someone bets 1$ then you can fold and not lose money. BUt the best way to make money is to wait till all 5 cards are dealt, but just make sure u have best hand.
