What percentage of people actually make some money online? |

I was wondering if there was a statistic or a rough estimate of the amount of players that loose tons of money, loose some money, break even, make some money and make lots of money online.
I am unemployed, bad at no limit offline friend poker (but I'm a new player) and very good at math. I was hoping to make 50-75 a week playing online poker, but I assume that is what 100% of everyone else thinks too.
How realistic is this?
Thanks.
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

98% of poker players are long term losers, 2% profit from the game and usually profit immensely.

I'd say it's more like 2% profit from the game, and about 0.0001% profit immensely.

Yes...
You have to play at least med stakes to have a "salary" and you have to lose a lot of money first if you are new player, or you can climbing stakes from miro to low and then to med, but in the mean time you need a job!

A friend of mine spent 2 years setting up and running a cybercafé business, at the end of which he worked out he could of made as much money just using the hours he invested delivering pizza’s.

I guess it would go without saying that what I meant was "If I studied the math, strategy and gameplay, and had experience in dollar rounds..... IS THIS possible or something I should just forget?"
This is too open ended of a question to ask on the internet anyways as the common response is either "anything is possible" or "not for you lawl."
Please forgive me for this thread. I will continue studying and see what happens.
