I have a quick question. I love poker, but it's only recreational, though I think I have read every book ever written on the subject (I read a lot). I play small stakes online, mostly SNGs, just to practice for my weekly home game (it's big stakes, $5 buy-ins).
OK, Bio done:
Started playing .2/.5 NL ring games and I enjoy it, but everytime I start doing well, the tables clears out.
Yes, I only play one table at a time.
Is that normal?
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

This is very common. Players only queue up for action tables, once the fish are busted and gone (which is what happens to fish) the table shrinks. Once it starts to shrink all the other players bail too because they don’t like short handed games.
I’m the same, if my table drops to 6-7 I usually jump to a nearly full one.

Good to know. Never said I was the Ivey, but most people at the few tables I have played don't like pre-flop raisers it seems.
Guess I will table hop!
Thanks again.
