Big Blind and Small blind

Posted Mon Jan 27, 2003 4:54 am GMT by checkthis
I'm a true beginner!! i have been practicing and studying Texas hold em for some time but cant get up the nerve to sit down at a table and play yet. Also I have zero interest in playing online. I was in Vegas just a couple of weeks ago and watched alot but never sat down and played.
My main question is this, in the games i watched in Vegas i couldn't figure out how much they (the players) were posting on the big and small blinds, the games i watched were 3-6 limit (Excalibur) and 1-3 limit (El Cortez).
It truly amazed me how fast the games went, understanding of course the more games played the more the house rakes.
If anyone has any insight into how much is posted in both blinds please pass it my way. THANKS
