Tracker Software.

Posted Tue Jun 01, 2004 11:45 am GMT by Always_Bored
I was thinking about putting my programming education to work. I am going to design some software that tracks my poker wins and losses. Its not going to be fancy or anything. It will track all the basics and so forth. I am just looking for some ideas. What else should I include in it?

I was thinking player profiles. Location information. Money won/lost. Plus im sure i can think of more as i go.

When/if I ever finish it I will let you guys have a copy of it if you want.

Some guys were chatting about their tracker software-and I got a little scared.

Stuff like, "you play tight, 12% of flops over 487 hands". I see it is working for you though. And "I have over 5000 hands against Camplee", "LOL, yeah me too"

I am ignorant as far as program design, but I would think that kind of info on players would be very valuable. Especially if you are playing the same limits at the same sites. I know it made me want to change my name!

I dont intend to track hands played. It will track winning/losing sessions. Its just a way to track if im making money or not. Right now I just have spreadsheets and want to make it a bit easier to read and manage.

I will not be tracking how many flops are seen or how many hands are played to the showdown. It wont be just for my online play either. After a session I will type in hours played. Money brought to the table/buyin. Money brought home. Where I played and so forth.

Since april 1st I have made 622 bucks Smile

I haven't posted it yet, but I'm a java student in highschool. Basics, but enough for now.

I'm in the process of building a very basic hold 'em simulator. My goal is to make a basic AI player that will make somewhat acceptable play decisions against you. In other words- I'm bored and WIN Turbo Hold 'Em is WAAAAY too expensive. Always- contact me, we'll see if we can help eachother.

You should go to the Pokertracker and Pokerstat web sites and check their screenshots to see if they show any features that look like ones you want to copy. That will be a source of plenty of ideas right away.

Good luck by the way.

And Replic, did you see that PokerHUD thing that calculates odds online? That would be a cool idea to mess around with.

I am in the process of trying another one..

pokeroffice

the website is the name.

You don't have to import hand histories.

Right now it only works with Party, Empire and Multipoker...
