Early position, middle position, late position. Exactly where are the boundries. In a 10 person table The button and SB and BB are the late position I assume since they all can add money to the pot but since the SB and BB put in money first does that make them LP or EP? also how many to the right of the button in a 10 person table would be considered LP? What about a 5 or 6 person table. Same question. Are the SB and BB the EP or the LP and how many to the right of the button is considered LP?
Thanks

You can basically judge position by 3's off the first to act. EP=1-3, MP=4-6, and LP=7-10. Of course, the blind positions change after the flop so what was last to act pre-flop is UTG, or first to act after the flop.

Even though the blinds get to act last before the flop they are very definitely early position and the worst place to play any hand post flop. Sometimes they are a good stealing position, say when there are 5 or more limpers. The trouble is that if your (stealing or otherwise) raise gets called, you will have to act first after the flop and in every subsequent betting round so be careful. Be sure that you will either win the hand without a flop or have a good enough hand to play after the flop.
