Another friendly game last night, we played for only 3 hours, well they did, I went out incredibly fast. 5 People everyone put in 15$. Ante was a quarter so it stayed fun and not too serious. I'm only 18 so I have no idea about casino play, but that's besides the point. I got beat on some nice hands. Just to bring some back to memory, I'd hit the 3 aces. I'd have two in my hand and one on the flop. No chance for the flush unless it hits on the river, but yes..it and there I go loosing on 3 aces. Again, delt 2 kings. The flop is 10 10 K, the kid next to me hit the 4 10s, I should've saw it in his face but I didn't. Just outrageous stuf that is getting me beyond frustrated with playing poker, I was thinking of sitting a few games as dealer and trying to figure out their tells before I play again. any suggestions? How can i get past this bad luck streak?? :x

Poker is a long term art. Everyone has up and down spells, the good players prolong the ups and have lesser downs but they all go thru it. I don't profess to be a master but after 3yrs of NL holdem, I am a far far better player than I was after 1 or 2 yrs and I still have a lifetime of learning ahead of me.
As they say, poker takes 5 mins to learn and a lifetime to master so just keep going, things will pick up and you will forget the downs

why do you let someone stay in if they are on a major draw? Your bet has to be great enough that they wont call to see if there draw materilized. DONT SLOW PLAY! only if you have the nuts or close to it may you slow play, then you can induce bluffs, reraise, make it look like your trying to steal the pot (large bet, but not to large), and then stick it in them when they call, or fold.

This one's easy. Your full house loses to 4 of kind. Just take comfort in the improbability of it all--I always tell myself that if I go broke I sure want to do it on GOOD hand.
