Tonight I was playing with my cousin and grandpa, and my cousin was doing pretty bad. She had two dollars left, but my grandpa and i had much larger pots. My questions is how is she supposed to play with such a small amount when my grandpa and i are betting. This is the only part of Hold'Em that i don't understand. Soud one of you all please shead some light on this for me. thanks

First off, you had much larger STACKS or ROLLS. Pots are the stakes in the middle.
Second . . . that's just kind of how poker works. In a money game, she'd have to tighten up a lot and hope for a strong hand she could bet heavy on. But in a friendly game . . . well, it's kind of a bad situation.

basically she just plays. this sorta happened last night at one of the games i was playing. this girl had only like a dollar ninety left but ended up winning 3 big hands in a row and eventually won everything. it happens. but never for me lol.

If your question is, say, what happens when your bets are more than her stacks, which would be quite common...
Well, she cannot win more than she can bet, and you cannot lose to her more than she has put into the pot already.
So lets say she has 2 bucks in front of her.
You bet 6 dollars, she wants to call, and your grandpa calls.
You would now set up two pots. The "Main Pot" consists of the money she is playing for. She can no longer do any betting, as her entire stack is in the middle. She is "All in". 2 dollars from each of you and your grandpa's bets would go to this main pot. She would be playing for this 6 dollar pot, and that pot only. All excess, and any future betting between you and Grendpeppy goes into the side pot, which you two are playing for.
At the end, if either you or Gramps have the best hand of the three, all the money in the middle goes to you. If All-In girl has the best, she takes her main pot, and you and G-Pa compare your hands. The winner of those two takes what ended up in the side pot.
