I was playing in a limit tournament last weekend at Lucky Chances. I was at the final table (tied for second in the tournment). There were 8 players left and I was the BB. The blind was 4000 (4,000-8,000 limit, 60 dollar by in). The guy to my left went all in for 5000. Everyone folded to me. I had a decent sized stack and decided to call with (Qh and 4d) just to try and catch and eliminate another player. The flop shows three d's (he had Ac10c). On the turn comes another d. I win the hand and the guy leaves angry. My question is what was I supposed to do? Even with nothing I had to call the extra 1000 and try to eliminate someone else. I would have folded if anyone else called. What do you guys think?

You played it right... It would be a mistake to give up $4000 when you only need to call with another $1000 anyways. If I were him, I'd be pissed you beat me with junk, but at the cards and not you. Tough break for him, but not your problem!
