It's on at 8:00 Eastern time tonight. I guess in 2.5 hours. I can't see it, but it looks nice. I saw a commercial for it and caught a glimpse of some big name poker players. Might be worth a watch. If anyone sees it, lemme know.
BTW, after that at 9, they're doing something on the MIT kids who swindled Vegas too.
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

a) It was a lot longer than 6 months. Try a matter of years. And b) it was a hell of a lot more than 3 million. Try 150 million. And yeah, they're banned from every casino on the planet.
I'm watching the special now, I've seen it before. Go read Bringing Down the House, it's all about that.

Vary Easly just Cardcounting working as a team so u had One Spoter,One counter Both of who made Minamal Bets then your Big Gun who would come in and make the big bets when the Counter gave the signel.
thay practested at Foxwoods before thay went to vegas.
there been MIT Teams for a while even before the Big One hit and there still are MIT Teams.
i also dont think all of the MIT Team are Banned since some of them Keep them self Hid.

Geno - they were a large counting team - really, really, really good counters, college age math geeks recruited from MIT (a top US science school) with a LOT of backing and resources from a consortium of investors.
Bringing down the house is a pretty good book about the whole scheme, as mentioned above. . . it's a little non-linear and a bit biased to make the kid that filled the author in come off a little better then he might in a news story. . .
