It's not a poker-specific movie, but it is a Vegas flick. . . and it's really good.

I liked the movie, it was pretty good. Peep out Finders Fee too; has a lil poker theme as well.

We made a couple cooler jokes after seeing this movie too. when my brother would come by me when I was playin poker and I lost, I'd call him a cooler. :D

That movie sucked. It could've been good but it was lame. I cant believe you guys liked it. Rounders was awesome but this one was a disappointment.

the movie was ok, could have done without W.H. Macy's ass though.... would have made it a better movie

Alec Baldwin was awesome.

thought it was a really good film, the ending was rather amusing i thought

and agree his ass was not needed

the one thing i felt in this film though was a touch of leaving las vegas with the deadbeat guy getting the pretty girl

Rounders was not only a better poker movie, but it was a better movie all around, period. Rounders had a better cast and a better story.

I just watched it and thought it was excellent. Macy shines in every offbeat flick he makes and I agree that Baldwin gave a great performance. In the top 10 movies of 2004 for me :D

I always liked Macy. Pleasantville, the raining frogs movie, Cohen Bros. movies, he's great in them all.

I agree, the Macy Ass was not needed.

sidenote: After I saw this movie, I made a screen name on Pacific Poker called "C00LER" with zeros as O's just to see people's reactions in the 5/10 ring games. ...Most of the time, no difference of a reaction, but every time anyone went on a bad streak or I went on a hot streak, people would absolutely FLIP OUT on me, even if I wasn't even in the hand.
