Hey, i am new in playing texas hold'em, i am 15 and i am just playing with my friends so they arent very good at all. We all play with $5-10 25cents a a chip. They dont know a thing about tells or what to look for. Basically what they do is hope high and bet low. I know 10, 15 tells but what do early beginners do the most that give away there hand. I know about if they act weak ur strong and stuff but im talking about what to look for most like hand movements, eyes, facial expressions, if they are cocky... what should i expect?
Thanks i look foward to hearing what you guys have to say.

The simplest tell in the world: most of the time new players can't for the life of them remember what they have in their hand so they are constantly checking their hole cards. If all of the sudden they aren't looking at their cards, you can bet they've got a pair.

yep I was gonna say the same thing. Either that Or they are checking to see if they have a flush or straight because they cant remember what they have like JW said. Im guilty as charged Smile

Another thing to watch, If they stare at you, sitting up, they have nothing. If they're leaning back, looking away, they want a call.

One I look for is when the flop, turn or river comes up they instantly look at thier chips. This usually is because they got what they wanted and now are seeing how much they can bet. When I see a player so this and then check, I assume he's trying to sucker me in and I'll just check myself. If on the next round of betting, they make a sizable bet, I fold figuring since the check raise didn't work, now they are trying to get me to call them.

hey thanks for the pointers.. my brother tought me the one that Underbelly was talking about. another question that i am curious about is how do i fish the most chips outta them.. should u keep raising 1 or 2 chips every time the dealer flips a card over. or just wait till the end and go all out? or is there different ways that you guys do this?

if you wait till the end then you allow your opponents to catch up. you dont want to wait and get beat.

First off, 1 or 2 chips can actually mean, like, anything. . . chips come in all sizes... I find you need to do more then call each card if you are trying to build a pot . . . if you let the pot be cheap, you get two effects:

1) People catch hands and beat you
2) People don't catch hands and fold to your big raise. neither wins you a pot.
