Heads-up play in NL tournament question

Posted Mon Aug 18, 2003 6:27 pm GMT by GuinnessPint
In Heads-up play, does the player with the button post the big blinds and bet last each round? I'm a little unclear on this situation. My card group is having its' first NL tournament Friday night and I am trying to iron out the smallest details. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks , GP

In NLH or even LH in a heads up match, the button/dealer posts the SB (small blind) and the other player posts the BB (big blind). This way the dealer/button is the first to act on the first round only. All rounds after the flop the dealer/button acts last just as you would in any regular game. Only the first round is different as you can post the BB and act first too.
