well this is my first post on this sit after i have been reading and learning from you guys and i am sorry it had to be about a bad beat, but this was just terrible/
i would expect something like this to happen on an internet poker site but this was just unreal.
today i am playing in a live tourny with 5 other people just some friends and family. i get dealt ace jack of hearts in early position and raise to 150 i only get one caller, my dad. flop comes queen, ten rag of hearts, now i have the nut flush with a royal draw, i check to him and he says all in. i say are u sure u wanna do that and he says yeah, i am gonna go play in the bugsy free roll anyways. well the turn comes out to be a queen so he made two pair, and then the river is a ten, for his full house, it just devestated me i couldnt believe that, he hits a two running cards on a four outer that just doesnt seem real, my stack is left crippled and i go on tilt and basically bust my self out. it just really pissed me off that he said i only called with the tens cause im gonna go play in the tourny on the computer. well i am the one who ended up playin in that tourny and man did i just go on a tilt like no other. well thanks for listening.......

Tough break man. When that happens to me, I usually get up from the table and get a drink of water. Clear my head. Bad beats happen, it's part of the game. It sucks ass, but it's part of the game.

well i was playing again later that night and caught aces behind the button and i didnt want to bet too high to scare anyone out so i just limped in and flop comes ace 9 ace. i check and it checks around on the turn i check again and the button bets and i am the only caller, river comes he made 2 pair, i check he bets like 2 hundred and i just come way over the top because their is no way he can put me on a set much less quads so he calls my all in for like a thousand and i double up. i guess that makes up for the bad beat huh?
