So I'm working on developing a NLH game that allows a user to host a game, and customize all aspects of that game, while other users connect to that game, up to 10 players. So its basically a TCP/IP poker game, played over LAN or Internet. A few people were saying that they'd like to see something like this. Now, I'm curious to know if anyone would be interested in buying the software. It would be silly to spend such an effort on something that no one wants to buy. I intend to release it in like a month or so, and it will retail for $19.95. There will also be pretty nice group buy discounts, since this game can only be played if all parties have a version. Thus a group of friends can buy together and save a good deal of money. I'm just curious to know if anyone would be interested in purchasing once it comes out. Let me know, and if you have any suggestions/comments, please don't hesitate to ask/tell me because all input is greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot for your time.
P.S. If this is in the wrong forum, my apologize.
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

if the software was good enough i'd consider it, not until playing a demo though

I'm one of the people who was calling for software just like that.
Please don't take this the wrong way but I would not pay $20 for it unless it was really stable and had all the features I was looking for and only after seeing a demo version. I'm a software developer myself so if it's not worth it to you to charge less than that then I understand. For $10-$13, I might take a chance at it after only seeing a few screenshots. Sorry, it's just that $20 x 7 friends is a lot of money, even if you're offering a group discount.
If you're serious about this project and you develop a client that lets people customize blinds/rounds/buy-in, chat with each other, handles all-in's properly, shows all-in's slowly just like UB, has decent graphics etc . .then I'd definitely be interested, and I think you'd make a lot of money on it because I know of no other program on the market.
Good luck!!

O it will definately have all those features that you mentioned and then some. I mean this is going to be as close to the online poker rooms, when it comes to graphics, and it will be fully customizable. Its going to be very nice.

Well then sign me up. :D I've got friends all over the U.S. that would be interested in playing online together. If it's good enough (and it sounds like it is) then $20 might be the right price after all.

Same as the other thread.
I have been searching for multi-player poker software and hoping between two threads here of games in current design I would be willing to pay for poker software.
Some of my requirements.
- We run a php/mysql setup for member login and would need the poker applet to keep track of member accounts etc.
- would not be cashed based but rather credit-based (eg. 1 credit = $1)
- multiple tables to choose from
- regular NL holdem and tournament style
I would need a license for unlimited users not on a per player basis.
Let me know if this appeals to anyone and if anyone here has the time or inclination to write this. We are open to revenue-sharing options as well and could very much be worth your time.
Thanks
Jeff
