I've seen lots of posts regarding not being able to play because the person is not 21. I always thought it was 18 for gambling. You can vote at 18, you can buy scratch tickets and play the lottery at 18, heck you can even join the military at 18. Is it specific for each state? And what about offshore gambling sites? What do they care if you're 18 or 21?
I'm just curious(I'm well over 21).
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

It depends on the state, and the type of gambling.
Most lotteries are 18. Many indian reservation casinos are 18. Charity casinos here in Illinois are 18. A handful of poker sites are 18.
Mostly it's 21 though...
