Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

I like the fact that I got to watch about 2 hours of unedited heads up poker. It's probably the weakest part of my game.

I was talking to John Juanada (sp?) on full tilt poker before he was even eliminated on television (it's delayed 5 to 30 minutes). That's what I think is so cool about the new poker site- I've talked to 3 different pro players on there. He was eliminated by Ivey and says he thought he was the favorite to win.

its a pretty decent sigh and they just added the real money feature so you can deposit money on the site. and the tourney was badass, i love being able to watch EVERY hand that is played and how each guys plays it. i was getting kinda tired of watching the taped versions where it only showed the all ins and not enough real playing.

good shiznit, and I think it's a begining of live tournaments to come. I liked it alot, seeing every hand played to see how much of a battle the tournament really are.

I thought it was very well done. They do have some kinks to work out though. There were a few hands early on when they never did get the hole cards up.
The only thing that irritated me is I'm pretty sure they were stopping play and manipulating the time so they could get all those dang commericals in. If it's gonna be live, have it be live. Have two breaks per hour for commericals and leave it at that. Or even better, get someone who is willing to pony up the cash to be the sole sponsor so we can go without commericals except for the beginning and the end.

I watched it and thought it was well done. Great pro's, great amateur's and great action, seeing almost every hand. A very good format and instructional as well :D

I didn't even realize that was live. I just came in on it. I was surprised that there was 4 hours of poker scheduled, but it didn't occur to me it was live.
I need to start taping these types of events.
On the game itself, it was obvious from the beginning that the amateur at the end didn't stand too much of a chance with Ivey. Ivey had a great read on the guy, who obviously had to be intimidated.
