New Poker Site

Posted Fri Jul 16, 2004 1:21 pm GMT by Exploit1
Hey, just found this the other day. Good site for people just starting out, I promise this isn't spam. www.noadsplease.com offering $7 free, no deposit and NO credit card needed to try out site. Warning you, not a ton of people play there yet, but it has a good interface. Download, create money account, and for coupon code put "lucky7". I just ask that you say that "exploit1" referred you.

I promise this isn't spam, just letting people like me know who want to try a money game on-line without risking to deposit. But they say offer expires 7-18.

Maybe we differ on the meaning of spam but I consider wot u've written to pretty much fit the definition! To the graveyard I'm afraid.

I respect your opinion, but I disagree. The definition I have of spam is: "Unsolicited e-mail, often of a commercial nature, sent indiscriminately to multiple mailing lists, individuals, or newsgroups; junk e-mail"

True this is of a commercial nature, but I am discriminately sending it to a poker newsgroup. It would be different if this were a gardening newsgroup. I understand the majority of your regulars are probably well established at on-line poker sites. However, I know there are a ton of average joes that view the posts. My posting was intended for the average joe, like myself who has played a few online freerolls and play money tables, and would like to give real money tables a try, without risking a deposit to see if they suck. This was a legitimate opportunity and that is the reason I was telling newcomers about it--because I was a newcomer and I thought it was great. Though I understand well-established online players won't care about $7, I think it's a neat chance for the average joes to give real money games a try. In this way it's not junk. Notice I didn't mention anything about deposit bonuses, or the typical spam verbiage... no exclamation marks.

The very fact that I'm replying to the message is proof my intention wasn't to spam. If I was an indiscriminate sender, I wouldn't know or care that my post had been labeled spam. Honestly, I'm sure there are plenty of viewers of your site that would like the chance to play at real money tables before risking a deposit, or sacrificing a credit card number to an unknown company. I understand the well-established regulars at the site don't need this opportunity, but how else could I word that posting to get the information to newcomers like myself?

I understand your position, wanting to keep a site free from advertisements, but this was a legitimate post to give information to viewers and not spam.

you are very able with your dictionary, but how are you on "common usage" of certain terms that don't necessarily fit the dictionary definition???

with regard to forums such as this, posts like yours are considered to indeed be "spam" or unwanted advertising. you site could be the greatest thing since sliced bread, but that is really beside the point. we do not allow unsolicted posts advertising online casinos. if you wish to advertise here, i suggest that you contact an administrator and arrange to purchase a banner ad.

let me ask you this.......what do YOU get if people say that they were referred by you???

Supposedly I get a small percentage of their rakes--which I doubt I'll ever see. I put my name in just in case the few pennies might add up. Myself and my friends are broke college kids and we wanted to see if we could play on-line... just letting people like that know. If it is only the refferal that classifies this as spam, take my name off and post it up as information. I do not work for the company, or have any ties... take its money and never deposit there, for all I care. Just a good chance to see if you can play online or not; decidedly I am not very good at on-line play--so I doubt I will ever make a deposit except for entertainment reasons. Honestly, just information--if I can see a few pennies instead of it all going to the company, maybe I deserve it for letting someone that is good at online play get started.
But yes, fully understand your take on advertising--it should be paid for. However, I'm not really advertising the company, just the deal (the only one I have found that they don't ask you for a credit card). Again, you're playing with their money, depending on their withdrawl procedures (which I don't know), you could take the money, and support any of your fine paid advertisers on this site. I really have no loyalty to this poker site, because I have no connection to it. I play at Ultimate Bet and Full Tilt mostly. But from fear of being accused of advertising those companies, I think your paid advertisers are the best and most reputable companies to play poker at.

you are more than welcome post here if you wish to talk poker, but i'm afraid that i will not be re-posting the link. we generally don't allow links to online casinos to be posted because then the forums would quickly be overwhelmed with them.
