I just watched it and they said that Michael Tata died, but I can't find any info on how. The episode showed him talking about how he split with his girlfriend and it was time for him to move on with his life, then they show his pic at the end with an In Memory Of... over it.

I saw that too. I looked it up and the stories I found said he died in his home from an apparant (sp?) heart attack at the age of 32 or 33. Damn, I'm 31. You may know all of this by now because I just noticed the day you posted this. Sorry if my info. was redundant.

there has been a ton of coverage on this here(buffalo, ny) as he was a local guy, who moved to vegas. Last report said the autopsy did not reveal the cause of death, and they were awaiting toxicology results.

I was friends with Tata when we both used to live in Buffalo, and have remained friends until the present. Very sad indeed. He was actually leaving for Maui the next day too. He may of come off as a dick on the show, but he was good at doing what the casino was paying him for. Away from work, a true class act friend.
RIP

It was pretty shocking to see them add that piece on the tail end of the show, I was a bit shocked that they would do that, I thought they might deal with it appropriately the next episode, he seemed like a good guy, good at his job.
It seems that they havent addressed it on the show, or did I miss an episode?
Either way, yeah he was young, and that definately sends a message home... American Casino, good show thought, MUCH better than the crap Casino on Fox...
