I'm trying to justify this play by convincing myself that I was due, but confession is good for the soul, so here goes...
$1/$2 limit on Party. I'm in early position with KcTc. UTG raises, I call, everyone folds to two off the button who makes it three bets. I now realize my original call probably wasn't a good idea. Blinds fold, UTG caps it and I'm so ticked at myself that I quickly call the last $2. Figured there were two big pairs, and I would take my chances to see if I could flop a straight or flush draw...
Flop comes 5d, 5h, 6c. Now this is where it really starts to get stupid. I'm squeezed with practically no draw, and (thankfully) UTG checks, I check, last player bets. UTG calls, and I compound my error with yet another really bad call. I justified this call by telling myself I'm getting 14-1 on my money. That may or may not have been correct arithmetic, but it sounded good at the time.
Turn card comes 7c. Wow, I actually have a legit flush draw now, and since I've put the other two on pairs, I'm certain the K-high flush is a good one. Same betting pattern as before: check, check, $2, call, call.
River is the 4c. Caught runner runner to make my flush. Get both callers on my river bet, and they show QQ (UTG) and AA (last position).
I need to go take a shower now to wash off the stench of embarrassment.
