About a week back someone (Cashman, I think) mentioned a casino in Manistee, Michigan. Well, I'm headed up that way for Labor Day weekend, so I cannot resist. Here's the question. This was described as a "nice game." I'm very curious to see what a typical serious player would describe as a nice game. Anybody care to comment? (Besides the obvious table full of people who play a lot worse than I do and lose to me graciously. Haven't quite found that yet--and may not tell you where it is if I do.)
Thanks,
gm

A "nice game" is when your opponents wear mirrored sunglasses.

Thanks for the comment, since it was the only one I got. Matter was clearly of little interest. When my eyes were better I used to try to read hands in my opponents glasses but all I could usually get was the color. Better than nothing, but more of a distraction anyway, since most opponents will pretty much tell you what their hand is if your really watching and listening. Mike Caro's Book of Tells was pretty useful that way. It sure was a sweet game though. I'm not sure if it would have changed a whole lot if they played with their cards face up in front of them.

Sure did. Talked about it in the post yesterday...see "I was right!" I'm hoping it wasn't just because the place was full of Labor Day tourists. My guess is that's the reason, though.
