1stly i dunno which nlhe event this was, i got it from suprnova as round 3 round 1 was also nlhe and of course the main event is also nlhe....... which begs the question, exactly how many no limit hold em events were at the wsop??
This is the 1 where Negraneu and Juanja and Ram Vaswan and some other dude at final table.
I just started watching it and 2 things struck me.....
1: how cool Ram Vaswani is, this guy is without doubt my favourite European player and 1 of my all time favourites, I've watched this guy play a LOT over the past few years and i have nothing but respect for this man and his plays. He will become a legend given time. It's just a pity his all in caught negraneu with that TT. still a great move in my opinion tho. just bad luck. His composure under questioning from negraneu! he was a rock!
2: Daniel Negraneu (sp) (btw..... (sp) should be his last name )
I like this guy a lot also he is currently probably the #1 player in the world. yet he looks like he's sitting in a home game with his buddies, just chilling and having a few beers. + he seems like a neato kinda guy also.
ok so back to watching it

Daniel NEGREANU is definately one of, if not the, best players out there.
You are watching the $1K buy-in, rebuy, NLHE event. Just as a side note, as I don't think the mentioned it, Daniel re-bought 27 TIMES! Good thing he made it that far, eh?
I love watching him, he is one of the most enjoyable players to watch simply because, as you say, he acts like he's in a home game.

Yeah, I wish ESPN would say, "this is the $1,000 buy-in no-limit hold 'em event" rather than just say it's NLHE. Seems like they could do a better job introducing each show.
I was thinking about Negraneau's style. From what I've seen and heard, he seems like quite a cool guy. I bet a lot of his table manner is calculated, too, though (not in a bad way).
By that I mean, he plays the part of a goof sometimes, having a ball, not paying attention, but he's right on every little nuance at the table. Super powers of observation shaded behind that facade.
Tremendous, tremendous player. I bet he'd be great in a home game or as a mentor.

Can't tell you how much I would love to have that guy as a mentor. Wow.
I guess I'll just have to wait to see what his contribution is to Super System 2. Poor substitute I'm sure, but I'll take what I can get!

They are writing another Super System? Who's involved? Where can I find more information?

There's a couple of posts that mention it througout the forum, but there isn't much info on it out there. I think you can preorder from Amazon.com though. It's still Doyle, but it's got a bunch of other people involved as well. Check out www.fullcontactpoker.com (Daniel Negreanu's site and go to the gallery. There's a picture titled something like, the authors of SuperSystem2. That will show you who all is involved.
Ah what the heck, I'll take a quick peek....
Doyle Brunson*, Mike Caro*, Jennifer Harmon, Daniel Negreanu, Bobby Baldwin*, Lyle Berman, Chip Reese, Todd Brunson, Johny Chan, Crandall Addington.
The * names are those I remember who were involved in the first book.

There were 6 NLHE events: $1000, $1500, $2000, $3000, $5000, and the main $10,000 event. :D
