I got some questions

Hi, I'm 17 and live in the Chicago Suburbs. I play $5 or $10 buy-in with my friends maybe once a week. We have 10 and 20 cent blinds (big money) I win most the time and am a very consistant player. We played again last night and I was gettin some good hands. J-J, Ad-Kd, 9-9, 7-7... you get the picture. The problem with these games though is that I know I need to raise before the flop. With a 20 cent big blind, I usually will raise with a quarter except everyone will fold 90% of the time. I had a 2-7 off suit and raised 50 cents before the flop and everyone folded. I showed my cards just to piss them off. My question is this, How do I play aggresively to get rid of other players weak hands, but at the same time, keep some other people in. Again, last week I had Cowboys. Everyone called the blind so I just called it. The flop was 3-5-9. One person bets 25 cents, One person calls, I call. Turn is a Q. Player 1 checks, Player 2 checks, I raise 50 cents. Player 1 calls, Player 2 folds. River is a 4. He checks, I raise 1 dollar. He calls, I turn over my cowboys, he shows a 3-5 off suit and beats me with 2 pair. Lol, in my opinion, that ain't right. What should I do? Almost all of my friends always call the big blind because they want to see the flop. When I raise, they usually fold and get mad at me. This is annoying me because I know I am more advanced than them and am tired of losing to inexperianced/bad players. Suggestions?

If they keep limping in and then folding when you raise, you'll never have to play a full hand. Just keep taking their .20 when they wanna give it to you. It will definitely add up.

as the old saying goes, better to win a small pot than lose a big one. just keep taking their money as you're doing.

You keep raising preflop and eventually there game will change. It will have to.
