This monday i will be playing in my 1st ever live brick & mortar poker tournament 
It's a super satellite to the Scottish Poker Championship (in at the deep end eh?)
Obviously i've been playing online for some time now so i have a fairly good grasp of how i'm gonna be playing, but what i'm looking for here is, tips on the actual mechanics of playing live poker.
I've got a good understanding of what will be happening, like vocally announcing calls/raises, not string betting that kinda thing.
But if you were to offer a newbie your #1 tip for live poker what would it be?

i ware a ballcap becuse i always have a ballcap on my head
by the way i hear the Scotch Poker Champion ship takes almost a year to finish becuse no one wants to bet there Money.

I think the people with glasses at low limit poker tables are ridiculous.

I'd say wear whatever you feel comfortable with or whatever you feel will give you an advantage. Do you think you might give something away with your eyes? Wear the shades. Truthfully, I'd be wearing shades and or both.
As to any other tips. Try to do the same thing, every time when looking at your cards. Either check your cards on each street, or never check them. This will keep you from getting burned by the "he always checks his cards and he didn't check them this time so I know he's got at least a PP".

if its no limit bring the shades, if its limit leave the shades at home.
