Okay, not "bad beat", but man...
I'm playing a $20sng last night, and playing some of the best poker I've played.. I folded QQ preflop due to instinct based on how I saw a guy playing/raising - with nobody even all in - and sure enough KK was out there... I folded top pair twice suspecting my kicker was beat by just a bit (Q's with a 10 for example), and was right...
So, I'm in 2nd place, up against the chip leader.. and not once, not just twice, but THREE TIMES - he got lucky on the river where the board paired, and his rag kicker ended up becoming irrelevant and we split the pot...
Hand 1: I've got KJ, he's got J6 - top card on the board is a J.. board A J 3.. he bets, I raise, he thinks for a while and calls...
Turn 7..
he bets, I raise 2x his bet, he calls.
river? 7.. now we have J's and 7's, A kicker.
Hand 2: I've got KQ, he's got Q3.. board ends up being Q 6 10 A 10 - Q's and 10's - ace kicker...
Hand 3: I've got AJ, he's got A4... board ends up A K 6 5 6....
Finally, with 4 of us left and the top 3 places paying out.. I've got QJ, he's got KJ, and I end up losing all of my chips, because HIS better kicker stands up on the pair of jacks...
Bahh.. Frustrating as heck!

yeah that does kind of stink. I was in a SNG the other night and went all in after the flop with pocket sevens. the board was something like 2,3,6 with 2 diamonds. I got one caller and thought "Oh crap! Higher pockets!" He flipped over his two cards and he had the other two sevens. I thought "cool, at least it will be a split pot." I ended up winning with a diamond flush because I had the 7d. He wasn't too happy.

Nut, your story reminds me of a time when I had ace of spades, king of hearts, with 4 hearts on board, and lost to a lady who had ace of hearts, king of spades.
