I'm heading to the Trump 2night for some HE. My Bankroll is $300. I'm having a tough time deciding which stakes to play and was wondering if someone could offer some advice.
Have played 3/6 there and it is a very loose game, with people calling down to the river and getting lucky. The 5/10 is tighter but I'm still concerned about how much money I have at this level.
Any suggestions???

5/10 $300 can go pretty fast. A lot depends on the table, but if you have one or two madman, that may only be calling 5-6 hands to the river.
I would stick to 3/6 unless you want to pull out the ATM card.
I do play 6/12 and only sit down w/ $200 and maybe another $100 in my pocket. But I am ready to pull out another $300 from the ATM if I need to.

I was actually told by someone who regularly plays $5-10 and $10-20 at trump that if you sit at a 5-10 table with much more than $300, you'll be looked at as a probably fish/idiot.
I find this odd, since I've previously been told you should sit down with something like $500 for 5-10 limitj, but I dunno.
She told me that she usually sits down with $250-300 at $5-10 and does just fine playing really tight early on 'til she makes a bit of a stack to play with.

You dont need to buy all the chips, but have the cash on you. If you get under $75-$100, then buy more.

$300 is a good number to start as you can sit on hands and not run out of money in the middle of a monster pot.

After thinking about it, I'm going to play 5/10. I would be playing the same tight/aggressive game at 3/6 and I don't think it would help me as much at that level as it would for 5/10, so seems to only make sense.

Well I saw this so late you're already there. The standard buy-in for 5-10 is $200-250. Few players even buy in on the 10-20 at over $500. That 5-10 at Trump on a Friday night should be a very nice game.
PM me and let me know how you did. Don' t think I can get over there tonight or I would.

Was going to head to Trump by myself but a friend wanted to go and said he would only go if I played 3/6. We had a lot of fun and played a long time but have to say that I won't play 3/6 again. It's just way too loose for me which sometimes can be good but most of the time it was bad. Another thought had crossed my mind while playing there, it seems pretty tough to actually make good money while playing 3/6. So from now on, it's 5/10.
There were some acceptable players there but most of them were bad in my opinion.

Always great to play with bad players...until you've got a table full of them. That's 3/6 at Trump. I've tried to warn people.
The nice thing, though, is that the 5/10 game has much better players than, say, the 5/10 game next door at Harrah's. Much better in every sense...especially the sense of beatably good. They can be bluffed, they can be bullied, and they'll call your monsters. What's better than that?
Turned out my youngest son played there Friday night (until, God help us, 2 pm Saturday) and won over $500. I think the game actually broke up around 5:30 am and then he spent the rest of the session at Harrah's; but you only get pretty solid players there before noon.
