...you fold pocket Aces on the flop and it's the right move. :D
Played in a $30 live tourney this last weekend. 39 players. I played my game perfect. I honestly can't think of a major mistake that I made all night.
At one point I get dealt AA in middle pos 8 handed. Pot gets raised BBx2 two seats to my right. I re-raise about 3x the total bet. Everyone folds to the original raiser who calls. Flop comes KQ10 rainbow. He moves all-in (god I love having position.) I look at him for about 4-5 minutes and fold. He flips over AJ suited and almost craps his pants when I show him AA. Then I yelled out that I folded AA to the room, setting myself up to be extremely tight. (which I was, but I was able to use that to steal a few pots later on.)
I played a low stack most of the night and worked my way up to 6th position (8 payout spots. I won my 30 bucks plus another 20 ) The hand I went out on was AK off suit. There was one other player with less chips than me and everyone else had a good size stack. I moved all in and got a caller with A6 suited (same guy I folded the AA too :D ) He ended up spiking a straight on the river to knock me out.
My strategy the whole game was to make top 3 since that was where the big payouts were, and I played it perfectly, just got beat. Them's the breaks. But I was extremely happy with my play and left the tourney with a smile on my face. Out of 39 people, I had come to the game with four others and knew two more of the guys that showed up. Of those seven, six of us made the top 8 spots that paid out.
