When I first read about this I was so excited. But I haven't heard about it in a while. When is it coming out and what extras are there going to be?

The info on this book is very scarce. There are all kinds of rumors floating about regarding it, but not much that's hard fact. It is scheduled for release in October. I've contacted Cardoza, the publisher and they won't say much other than that. There is a persistent rumor around that Doyle Brunson is opening up an online poker room called "Doylesroom.com" and that he will be giving the book away to players who sign up. The rumor goes that he will not allow it to be distributed until everyone on the site who wants one has one. Cardoza would not comment on this other than to say that it would be available to "everyone" in October.
As to the extras, I believe there will be some more games gone over, but for the most part it is just being re-written to account for the changes in the game.

What do you mean persistant rumor? Doylesroom.com IS an online poker site but there's nothing about free giveaways. Hope he'll give the free book for play money accounts too. Unlikely though.

I looked through the site as well, looks lie you'll be able to buy it with "action points" you earn from playing at real money tables.

I checked that stupid site last week and it didn't friggin exist!
The pop-up actually says the only way to get the book is to join. Guess I'll have to join up. And yes, you can get the book by redeaming for "Action Points". As far as I can find that's pretty much the only way to do it. Makes me wonder if he has it available now and it goes on sale to the public in October.
Anyone try out the site yet?

Here's my guess, as I originally heard August as well. SS2 is out, but Doyle has 2 months of access to it that no one else has. So, for the next two months if you want the book, you have to play on his site to add up points to "buy it" with. Come October, it gets released to the rest of the world through book stores.
The grapevine says Doyle is dedicated to not releaseing it to the public until everyone on his site who wants one has one, but we'll see. I'm curious how easy these Action points will be to obtain.

Does anyone think there's going to be something new or earthshaking in this text? Especially anything of much value to online players? I really, really doubt it. In fact, I think most of the old one is out of date so I never have understood all the excitement it generates.
If ANYONE can possibly absorb, remember, and actually implement what's in Sklansky's current works he'll never need another book as long as he lives.

my parents said the saw in a bookstore when they were shopping for super system 1 for me. i was like no way, i've never heard of that! maybe they were telling the truth. but i live in sweden, why would they import it here so quickly if no one even knows the release date for it yet? 
today i'm gonna pick up my copy of SS1 at the bookstore so i'll look for SS2.

Let us know LEO, I sincerely doub it. The release date is Oct 1rst according to Amazon.com.
