So Im playing today in a normal cash game (.25/.50 blinds). I get dealt rockets. I raise preflop and two people call. I bet big after the flop comes up like 4,8,T. I got one guy who folds and this other really aggressive player calling (thinking he could eventually bluff me out of it). So the turn card comes up a Q. I bet big again. He calls. It kinda worried me. THe river card comes up a 2. I check it over to him and he bets huge. I call it thinking he had a queen. He flips it over a Q2. My rockets are beaten by some idiot who stayed in on queen high. Before the turn. Ive been replaying the hand in my head all day and thinking of ways i could have played that hand any differently. You think there was anything else i could do about that?
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? No way to play that differently.
Assuming it was a NL game you could have raised bigger pre/post flop but if it was a limit game then raise it as much as possible.
If it was a NL game though I usually raise it at least 4x the BB.

yeah it was a NL game i should have raised pre flop i raised like chump change. Thats why he was able to go in on his Q2.

Two things, I think. The first, everyone pointed out. The second was not betting huge on the flop. Personally, I would've moved all in here.
