I know i am not the only one who dislikes this guy. he rambles on about pointless things, and really doesn't contribute anything to the game of poker. so i have an idea. i dont know if this would actually work but i think we should get an online petition going and see if we can get espn not to bring him back. maybe if enough of us sign it they will see how unpopular this guy really is. so your thoughts would be grateful.
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

I've seen the same call to action against Vince Van Patton of the WPT. Can you imagine both those guys on one show?

Not everyone hates him. I like him and I like his banter. I think he contributes plenty but I know I'm in the minority (at least here, my poker playing friends don't have a problem with him). It is poker on TV and something has to liven it up. Remember Gabe Kaplan...snoooooore...I just fell asleep thinking about him (and I like Gabe but please...perk it up a bit).
I can guarantee this: No one they bring in will make everyone happy. Be careful what you wish for.

Yeah, remember when Dan Dierdorf left MNF only to be replaced with........Dennis Miller!!!!
I personally like that Chad jokes around and tries to liven up the game. I'm with doing away with Vince Van Patten though.

I liked Norman Chad. He actually has some personality.

I do see what some people are saying. Seems like he's trying to be more clever (rather than giving insight into the action) in this year's telecasts, and it's not working.
Maybe I just don't remember from last year.
I'd really like to see some people with skill adding their comments, to help educate the masses on why a play was made or not, was it good, etc.
Kinda like we do here

I like Mike Sexton and I think that McEachern does a good job on ESPN. The guy that annoys the piss out of me is the guy who does the Late Night Poker telecasts on Fox Sports. I don't know his name but he's just too over the top. Lederer is a good color man as well. I would love to see Scotty Nguyen or Men the Master in a booth during a tourney, but I don't think it will happen with the thick accents.

i personally don't mind Norman Chad/Chad Norman w/e his name is, he is obviously sposed to be the comic relief and is fairly inoffensive.
This does seem to be the norm (chad?) on commentary tho? The straight man and the guy who is just there to make stupid comment.
I'm trying to remember the name of that movie about the dog show in USA? kinda spoof documentary comedy kinda thing, the presenter guy in that should be doing poker shows

Yes Nick!!! thats it.

After watching a number of the WPT events here in the UK I've come to the conclusion that Vince Van Patten should be hung, drawn and quarterd, put into a blender and then fed through the digestive system of a skunk.
...now you might guess from the above that I find him a teeny weeny bit irritating

Hey! Get Phill HellMOUTH to do the commentary's. He can tell the TV audience how dumb (his opinion) some of the players are.

I think that's "Best in Show" and the actor was Fred Willard. IMO he made that movie.
I wouldn't mind if they added a "guest pro" for the different episodes. Have Lederer one show, Cloutier the next, then Annie, etc.

Anyone ever watch a show called This Old House? Remember Bob Villa? His job was to be the guy that the "average" viewer could relate to and bring up questions and topics that the pros (in the case of the WPT, Mike Sexton) could answer. Same idea basically.

Meatwad: The annoying, clueless guy you are thinking of on LNP is Jesse May :D

Yeah, that's him. "Devilfish calls the bet and here comes the Turn. Oh my goodness he's flopped a full house. I don't believe it. The odds are staggering. Can he get maximum value out of this monster hand. What will he do." It's like he's yelling quietly. I feel like I'm watching golf. You think VanPatten's bad.
