Since Pineapple is a holdem variant I feel justified to bring up the topic on this board. I came across a CP 8ob game by mistake thinking I was getting into a regular CP game. I decided to stay in the game and by the end of the evening I had really cleaned up. Now I am all fired up to play more CP 8ob. So, lately I have been thinking about good opening hands for CP 8ob.
Any one have links to articles about or advice on evaluating starting hands for CP or CP 8ob?
My strategy for high hand in CP is to pick the two best cards I was dealt and apply a similar strategy that I would in a holdem game. If the flop provides a better hand with the card I was going to discard I will switch my discard. That approach for high hand CP works ok for me, but what’s really got a bee in my bonnet right now is finding a strategy for evaluating a low hand.
I have seen a point system used to evaluate Omaha hands:

I wonder if a similar point approach could be applied to CP and CP 8ob.
