I swear, I only win about 25% of the time with Pocket Aces. the only times I win with them is when I flop a full house. Every other time I lose.

You been raising big pre-flop?

Yep Pocket Aces need pre flop raise try and get it to 1vs1 maybe 2-1 (max) otherwise your odds of winning is poor.

if you're not putting a sizeable raise in pre-flop with pocket aces, then it's your own fault if you get outdrawn for letting people stay in the hand.

Well my one beat was at a limit table, where two people called my raise.
But at a home game I went all-in with pocket aces. one person called with something awful and lucked into a win.
The other time I bet big but didnt go all-in got one caller, caught trips on the flop and went all in. the person called and turned a flush.
Just curious if this happens to anyone else.

Last night I raised 20x the BB and got one caller who raised after the flop for all-in which was only $18 to me so I called. He had pocket Q's and flopped a set. We were talking afterwards and short from going all-in he would have called pretty much everything. Can't say that I blame him. Since he was short stacked against me I expected the all-in just not the set. Sometimes you just are destined to lose with it.

I suppose your right. It just sucks when you get that boost of confidence when you check your cards and see two Aces, only to lose alot of money with that when you get out drawn.

People who always pop up with posts about how they 'often lose with AA' need to remember that it's way easier to remember the times you got beat with AA than any other hole cards. Like people have been saying, if you play them right, you have the best opening chance to win and of course you will remember then if you lose. Don't lose faith, the bullets are your friend.
