Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

Mirage 3/6, 6/12, 10/20 on up
Bellagio 4/8, 8/16, 15/30 and NL games (I think, I know Mirage and Bellagio have different limits)
On anyother post, we listed a bunch of Vegas poker rooms. Individual sites for casinos have structures, tourneys or phone numbers for card rooms.

I just got back. the best I found was Horseshoe in old Vegas where they played 2-4. On the strip there are some 2-4 and all over actually there are quite a few 2-4 that I saw. I didnt see any lower. Frontdesk wherever your staying will likely be able to help you. Good luck and Have Fun!

One of the better low limit hold em games is at the Luxor..they have a 1-4-8-8 . The Stardust also had a very wild 3-6 game at one time. If you are going to play those type of low limit games you may want to play in a place that has a bad beat jackpot. In the long run its worth the price to play. Luxor also pays out for the top hand..its not much but at those limits you can make an extra hundred if you have the top hand for the day.

So do any Vegas cardrooms offer 1-2 limit games?

Just got back last night. I went to Excalibur, Palms, Mandalay, Mirage and Bellagio. Excalibur had a 1-3 and a 2-6, Palms had a 2-4 and 4-8, Mirage had 3-6 and 6-12, and Bellagio/Mandalay both had 4-8 as their lowest game.
Mandalay's the best room of the bunch, IMO. Smoke free and plenty of room. Palms is the only one where smoking is allowed and is very cramped. All the others were OK. Bellagio was nice, but I didn't much care for the players there (might have just been my table). Lots of smack going on at the table.

Hey, Buff....was there a long wait at the Belagio?

The only place I had to wait at all was Excalibur. Got right in everywhere else.
I played 2-4 at the Palms, 2-6 at Excalibur, 3-6 at Mirage and 4-8 at Bellagio and Mandalay.

How about low blind NL games? What's the scoop on those? As you may have read, I don't play no more limit poker..... ever.......lol......

Most of those rooms had low blind NL games. I know Mirage, Bellagio and Mandalay had them for sure. I think Excalibur had one, too, but I don't think Palms did.

I just checked, the Excalibur has 1/2 NL games. Since I'll be staying downtown, I really have to see if Binions has them that low too. Going to Fremont St as a poker player and NOT touching the felt at the 'Shoe would be akin to being a golfer and visiting Monterrey and NOT scoping the 18th green at Pebble.....
