ok get all your gripes out here.
Which player so far has irritated you the most?
Who would you least like to have playing at your table?
Who would, if playing in your home game, be most likely to be taken outside and given "a good talking to" from their fellow players?
For me i would have to vote for Marcel Luske, you know? the guy who was heads up against Joe Awada in the 7 Card Stud championship.
He just irritated me so much all the way thru this match, from his stupid hat and upside down sunglasses, to his aggressive, abrasive comments, even down to the way he kinda flicked his chips into the pot.
I have a lot of dutch friends and i pretty much give dutch people in general the vote for being nicest, coolest, smartest, funniest, good people i know, but Marcel Luske...... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Fischman, hands down. Not even a contest.

I agree...Fishman...and Hellmuth's a sucker

I have to vote for anyone wearing sunglasses indoors. It has to be the most asinine practice I've ever witnessed. To prove my point, take the Poker Stars Invitational as an example. How many pairs of sunglasses at that table?

Probably Ellix Powers for me. Although he did make for some entertaining TV.

I agree 100% Sean. It's even funnier to me when I play small buy-in local tounaments and see idiots wearing sunglasses trying to pretend that they're on the WPT.

I often see folks wearing sunglasses that don't really try to 'read' their opponents. Those are the ones I don't understand. The sunglasses are so others at the table can't see when you're looking at them. But if you rarely look up at anybody at the table, why would you need sunglasses?

Fischman.

Why would they need them anyway? Do these bozos really think I'm going to let down my guard and mouth the words "I've got AA!" to my friend standing near the rail, just because I can't see their eyes? I repeat, it's asinine. The one shred of truth might be these guys are paranoid that they're giving away a tell by looking at someone, and they're trying to disguise it. Asinine nonetheless.

I played in a small $50 buy-in tourney at a friend of a friend's house. Out of the 30 people playing, there was only one fool who wore sunglasses. He was even a little embarrassed when he realized that nobody else was wearing them so he took them off occassionally. Whenever he had them on, he seemed to make really bad plays and stupid calls. I don't have empirical evidence to support this but the shades seemed to make him play worse!
The funniest part was that he would have to stand up and squint to see the cards when the dealer was at the opposite end of the table. Likely because the shades were too dark.
At least nobody was wearing headphones . . . .

No, they probably give you a little more credit than that.
Lemme put it another way, how many times do we have to learn/hear that poker is a game of "incomplete information". The more info you have that your opponent doesn't have, gives you an edge (I feel like I'm quoting Dan Harrington). If you can see your opponents eyes but your opponent can't see your eyes, you have info that he doesn't. Whether it's useful or not is a matter of opinion I guess.
OK, I've never worn sunglasses while playing cards but I always like to try to see it from the other side. I too think it looks silly, unless it's Evelyn Ng. She gets a pass.

Looks like im on the shortend of the stick, cuz I like to wear sunglasses at the table, along with headphones...
Sigh

Mind telling us why? I'm genuinely curious.
Maybe it just makes people feel more comfortable. Seems like that could help a person play better. And don't even throw superstition into the equation.

Depending on where and who I'm playing with I listen to music, I keep the volume pretty low so i can still hear the table talk but I think it helps. Especially at the card club, I play very few hands so its nice to keep entertained with music but I dont let it get in the way of watching the players and such, sunglasses i think are unnecessary unless u know u have a tell with your eyes (looking at your chips when a card that helps you hit, etc) in which case it would obviously be the smart thing to wear them. I think I read somewhere that Hellmuth wears sunglasses because he knows he has some tells that he cant stop so he hides them with his sunglasses. Oh and back on topic I agree that Fischman is the most annoying player, and all the other idiots in "The Crew" like Douche Boyd

i hate the guys who wear stupid sh*t, like freddy deeb's sh*tty shirt, what kind of piece of sh*t is that!!!! and phil hellmuth's sh*tty hat, i can't stand that sh*t, especially sh*tty sh*t like vogl's sh*tty orange jumpsuit, looks like sh*t, that crazy sh*t makes me want to sh*t in my pants, grab that sh*t out, eat it up, and sh*t half of it out again, and remaining sh*t, like vomit that sh*t out, stuff it in a sh*tty bag, go to vogl's sh*tty house, light it on fire and leave, so when that piece of sh*t vogl coming out, he'll step on the sh*t and go "oh, sh*t!" and i'll laugh cuz that piece of sh*t got his sh*tty shoes full of my sh*t!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I mainly wear them because my eyes are sensitive, so I can keep the light out. I also know that I give many tells away with my eyes, so I wear them for that reason too. I like to listen to music to get me into the "mood" so to speak.
That's why I guess...
And NO...I am not superstitious, I learned my lesson a long time ago trying to make 7,2 offsuit "lucky"

Phil Helmuth - I'm not talking about his skill, he is one of the best there is, but his attitude just sucks.
The friggin guy shows up late to the WSOP Main Event! Not only is it stupid to let your chips get blinded away, but what on Earth is more important than the Main Event for a pro poker player(or any poker player for that matter)? Granted, if somebody in his family were hurt it would be understandable but he just strolls in late like he just crawled out of bed.
Then he proceeds to just climb over the rail and stands there making sure everybody sees that he has just arrived. What an attention whore!
And the comments that come out of his cry baby mouth! "It's like a minefield in here!" he whines, referring to the number of amateurs in the tournament.
I'd like to sit at his table one day just so I could say "Phil, you're a great player, but f**k off."

I'd pay money to play against Phil Helmuth heads up.

It would be rather fun, I'd see the flop with anything just to see him freak out. "What are you doing calling my raise with 58o! I've got pocket Queens and should have won! Jesus Christ, if there was no luck involved I'd win every hand!"
Not to mention you'd have a chip lead over him already cause he'd show up late :D

Fischman, BY FAR. As far as the other names thrown out....I thought the Powers fella was very entertaining. I don't see why McManus got hot and bothered by his raise in the dark. "You're disrespecting the game"?????
Luske didn't bother me at all, either. The guy who was somewhat annoying was the Nick Farg--something. He seemed like a punk. And the replacement player who wouldn't shut the hell up at Sam Farha's table, he needed a mute button.

Dutch boyd seamed to wine a bit too
