I'm playing in a $10 rebuy and i'm doing ok, we're about 2 1/2 hours in and im on 25k (average is about 16k or so)
I make a bad move, i have 33 and called this guy who raised, flop came 276 and he checks, so im thinking AJ AT something like that, i raise putting him all in and he calls with 55 i get no help and i'm down to about 3K with blinds 600/1200 I know i Know it was a bad mistake, that is just background tho.....
so i claw my way back up to about 8k (a bit of luck a bit of having nice hands) ok so i'm still in but average is 20k and i'm well down on it, blinds are 1k/2k now when this happened...
I get QQ on the button, everyone folded round to me (despite my pleading for them to call ) i raise all in, sb and bb fold. I show my QQ
Next hand I get 99 everyone folds to me i raise to 10k everyone folds, i show my 99.
Next hand i get TT raise to 10k again, this time the bb calls putting himself all in with AJ os he doesn't improve and i am up to 25k :D and thinking ok lets slow down again now cos that was a rush! but......
The very next hand!!!! i get AA in my pocket, making this the 4th pp in a row!!! I can't believe this and i can't believe my luck!
guy before me raises to 6k :D I double his bet up to 12k to go, everyone folds round to him, he re-raises me all in and i call
he shows KK i show my AA flop comes xxK turn x river x
so after getting AA as my 4th pp in a row im out
It was a great rush and i totally felt i was gonna go from being almost out to having 50k but such is life i spose
*sidenote* this guy had really been carrying his luck, earlier 3 of us were all in, him with QQ me with KK and another with AA, he hit a Q for worst hand to win the pot, luckily i took my chips back from him the next hand
In another hand i had QQ and flop came AKJ he bet huge and i was forced to lay it down, he showed KK for the set.
He went on to finish 7th in the tourney so i guess his luck (coupled with my chips) carried him thru well.
thanks for listening
