stuff like this makes me HATE poker

ok imagine this, i get pocket aces, raise to about 5x the big blind preflop to keep the chasers out, well as im sure you all saw it coming, it didnt work

3 people call, the flop comes A, 6, 4

i bet 2 dollars, someone reraises 2 more so i go all in (14 dollars), he calls

he shows 3, 5

he called my all in with a DRAW!!!
and of course, with my luck, he caught it on the river, the good old 7 popped up emptying out my bank account

i hate playing at low limit tables like .25/.50

who seriously calls that with a draw?

A hell of a lot more people than you would hope for. That's why I almost never slow play AA or KK anymore and I NEVER slow play JJ or QQ. In a game here last night I moved in early in position with QQ and everyone folded. I showed my cards and someone said "man you should of slow played those". I said " yeah right, show me what the flop would have been for the hell of it". A K x. He realized then why I did what I did.

I was speaking that generally that is the problem with big pockets. I agree with you whole heartedly you had some loooooose folk at that table.

The problem is that even 5X the BB is only $2.50, and at low stakes tables you'll often get people who are there to put there $ down and spin the wheel with drawing hands. I've been burned many times at these tables myself, but have won even more times than that. If he & you play that hand 10 times the same way you will come out on top. Hope you took his name down and find him again and again. You will win your $ back if he plays like that often. There are always SNG's to make things a lil more sane.

ok got another one Sad

was in a 10 dollar sit ngo, get delt pocket 8s
raise to about 200 preflop and get 2 callers

flop comes QQ8, one guy raises to 200 i go all in, he calls

he has KQ, i have the full house

turn comes: 3
river: K

so he catches the bigger full house and beats me on the river, its crap!

pokerroom does alot of that crap and i dont like it, i might go somewhere else

that one's a little different. at least he had a legitimate hand to call your all in. just a shame the river was a K
