a reality based series "Tilt" to appear this winter taking the place of "Playmakers". It will apparently take a look at the lives of the pro poker players.
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

Cool. Hopefully it will be put together well, and for god's sake I hope the don't spend too much time on the vomitous "Crew".

I am definately going to be downloading this (My Canadian Cable is lacking in ESPN). It sounds like it could be pretty entertaining, it has a pretty good team behind it.

This sounds like a very promising series. I got to have something since Fx axed "LUCKY" last season, the freaking bastards

So, this is fictional characters and not about actual pros then right? Reality based, but not reality.

"Tilt"? I really don't think so. I've seen the commercials a few times and the show is called "Hu$tle". If it is half as good as playmakers was and about poker, then i can't wait!

My bad, after reading the article, i was wrong. Hu$tle is different. Sorry

LOL...yeah Hustle is about Pete Rose, but hey he's a gambler so I guess it fits. From what I think I remember about Tilt, its going to be a pre-selected toury of the best players, and winner takes all ($1 mill i think)...or maybe that was something else...i dont know...where am i again

I just hope they dont take it to extreme. Like for instance the show Las Vegas. So unrealistic. Im talkin about the one about the poker game. So far fetched. An playmakers was kind of an overkill. I heard that the NFL was no way like that. I know it makes for great TV. But I hope they dont give people the wrong impression about poker.
But I can't wait

Rounders II: Back With A Vengence 8) a sequal would be cool.
As for movies that are really coming out look for High Roller: The Stu Ungar Story (aka: Stuey) in the next year.

Yeah, they tried to squeeze almost every controversial topic that has ever occurred in the entire NFL's history into one team, one season. I wonder if they'll do a similar thing here? Like for example, it wouldn't surprise me if they somehow tried to put altered versions of both Stu Ungar and Ted Binion's stories in it. Hopefully they won't go too overboard. I can't wait either.

I've got to agree with Matt on this one. Playmakers was terribly overwrought, and the fact that the writers did Runaway Jury doesn't inspire confidence.
But, I imagine I'll check out at least the first few shows and try to keep an open mind.
