I lost with 4 9's...well..kinda.....
I'm playing 5/10 on Party Poker in a full table and I catch 99 on the button......to the left of the big blind there is a raise and a re-raise and two callers...it comes to me and I am now looking at 3 bets to call and I get a little angel on my shoulder that tells me that it's a good idea to call....so I do......and...THE SMALL BLIND CAPS the betting and sure enough everybody else calls and now I have to call......so here comes the flop.......As, Qh, Jh........Okay...now I know I am beat...so I am prepared to fold........It comes....bet, call, call, and right before me....raise......So I now gladly fold my hand as I know that I can't possibly win now.....The small blind raises and the betting gets CAPPED AGAIN..........4th street.....9h......I am now fuming...for a second...then I realize that somebody probably just made their flush....so I would have been cooked anyway......The betting? CAPPED AGAIN........The River? Yep......9s....Now I am pissed off because I would have won.......right?......WRONG.........The betting got capped again and it created the largest pot I had ever seen in a 5/10 game.....$632.00.......
SHOWDOWN...yep....some A-Hole played a 10h, 8h and made his straight flush.........around the table there were two full houses, one straight and one flush.....So I would have lost with 4 nines.........AND..........won the bad beat jackpot......end of story...I am beginning to get pissed off again....

great story! Do you like the bad beat games? I havent played them yet, I just dont know if the extra rake is worth the chance for a nice payoff. What is the play like compared to other ring games? I could see the players being of a different breed.

The bad beat games are worthless........Too many nutball callers.....I am sorry...but if I raise pre-flop and then raise on the flop again and you continue to call knowing that you have one out........then that game sucks....
The games don't resemble poker really....
I won't play in any more bad beat games again...too many nutcases.
