A bad bad bad bad beat

This didn't happen to me, it happened at an online tourney I was at the other night. It has to rank up there with the best, I shall recount to you this poor fellows tale of woe...

It was a $1 Big Buck online tourney at paradise. It had been going about ten minutes and this maniac arrives at the table. Raising like a nutter. The thing was he was winning all of these ridiculous raises / all ins etc because everyone was so wary of him. He won two and showed absolute garbage cards to let people know he was taking the p.. proverbial.

Anyhoo. Half way through a hand he says, "The next hand I'm going all in no matter what. Anyone else?" No one replied.

Next hand, sure enough, bang... All in!

He says "Call me, I'm giving it away!"

It went right around the table with everyone folding until one guy called all in too.

Cards upturned.

The caller had A A

Maniac man has 2 5 offsuit !!

He says, "Told ya I was giving it away!"

Flop comes... 3 6 K

Turn rag.

River... you guessed it 4

He made the straight and won.

The tourney was $1 to enter and you got 1500 chips to start with. When I got knocked out (with a semi bad beat but really my own fault) he was 5th on the leaderboard !!!

I felt really sorry for the poor sod who called him. I keep expecting him on here posting his sorrows...

:D

Yeah that was pretty bad. You know the rule about playing with guys that are too aggressive. You just wait on a good hand and call his all-in. Aces were surely a good enough hand to go with he just got out drawn.
