I've read that in order to get really good a this crazy game, you should read a few books and get some tutorial software. I've heard that Turbo texas hold'em software is pretty good, has anyone here used it? Also, any book recomendations for low limit games?

Winning Texas Hold em by Lee Jones isn't a bad book. I'm re-reading it now.

:D

Someone told me that was supposed to be pretty good, so I think I'll find a copy. How do you like it? Are you learning anything new, has it tought you anything that you wouldn't have picked up on your own?

Go to cardplayer.com and open up their poker calculator. Start feeding it all kinds of different hands and look at your pre flop odds. Then make some interesting flops and see how the percentages change. That is VERY educational.

i'm a bookworm, if u live in a fairly big city, go to the library and just starting reading various books on poker. if your library has nothing, go a bookstore and browse the games section. look for anything by sklansky. theory of poker, advanced poker, etc. any poker book at all has valuable info.
