On Saturday I went out to the Bicycle Club to check out day one of the WPT event there. I went to Legends of Poker last year and also the event at Commerce last February.
On my first trip I took pics with Doyle and Shana Hiatt. On my second trip I took pics with Shana (again), T.J. Cloutier, and Mike Sexton. They were all really cool.
On this last trip, although I didn't see Shana  , I got to take pics with Annie Duke, Chris Ferguson, Clonie Gowan, Thunder Keller, Daniel Negreanu, Jen Harman, Scotty Nguyen, and actors James Woods and Matthew Perry. They were all really happy to take the picture with the exception of Perry. The only person who refused was Tobey Maguire.
I was also able to get a bunch of autographs. I had an old copy of July's Card Player magazine with the 8 guys from the Poker Superstars Invitational, and I got autographs from Phil Ivey, Howard Lederer, T.J., Doyle, and Johnny Chan. I didn't see Gus, Barry Greenstein, or Chip Reese there. Maybe at the Commerce event I can get the rest of those sigs.
I also got autographs from Mel Judah, Joe Awada, Antonio Esfandiari, Evelyn Ng, Annie Duke, and the Unabomber. Esfandiari was really cool, and he showed us a bunch of magic tricks with a deck of cards he had in his backpack. He is quite the magician and definitely lives up to his nickname. Annie Duke was a real sweetheart, even though she accidentally burned me with her cigarette when we were taking a picture.
If you live anywhere near a casino or card room that hosts a WPT event, I strongly encourage you to check it out on Day 1. You get awesome access to the pros, and usually they're pretty cool about chatting unless you catch them at a bad time. I'm lucky that I live in Southern California so I can catch two of these a year, plus I happened to be in Vegas last month when they were filming the event at the Mirage.

A WPT ad I scanned out of a magazine and printed out on photo paper. It was signed by Evelyn Ng, Antonio Esfandiari, Annie Duke, and Phil "Unabomber" Laak.
A cover of an old Card Player magazine that I scanned and printed out. I got it signed by Johnny Chan in the top row and Phil Ivey, Howard Lederer, T.J. Cloutier, and Doyle Brunson in the bottom row.

Too bad Matthew Perry ruined that picture for you, usually hes a pretty nice guy!!
You need to find the rest of the guys for that card player magazine one, that would be put in a frame on my den wall so fast.....

They all look like, really nice, like "yeah no problems dude i'd be happy too!" except perry, i dunno if he's trying to look cool or just aint happy?
Negreanu looks like, "yeah, he's my bud" same with Scotty Nguyen, my god they all do! so cool!

and how TALL is Eric Seidel? my god! the man is HUGE!
and ....... i dunno if this is just me but, did you find it difficult not to turn round and just nuzzle into Clonie Gowan's breasts? I know i would have. Maybe that's just me tho

Seidel definitely was a big guy...then again, I'm quite short, being just barely taller than Jen Harman (although she was in heels). I would say he was at least 6'6". T.J. Cloutier is also a huge guy. As many of you know, he played pro football in the CFL before he was a poker pro.
Here is a pic of T.J. and I back in February:
Clonie Gowan was looking good. You can't tell in the picture, but she was wearing VERY short shorts that day. She's a very attractive lady, but still nothing compared to Shana Hiatt.
Perry didn't really seem thrilled about taking a picture. He never really said anything to me, and never cracked a smile. Maybe he was just putting on his "poker face".

That's great! I don't even think I'd ask Matthew Perry for a picture, in that kind of crowd I don't even consider him a celebrity. And as for Scotty Nguyen, was he drinking or just reallly happy?

Scotty was actually happy. At that point the tournament had just started and he was outside either getting some sun or having a smoke. But he was a really cool guy and none of that was due to alcohol.
