So, I've changed town and got a new job. No Internet connection from home yet so I haven't played for two month or so, but still reading the forum from work (I've stopped that after reading the internetpolicy), reading some books etc... Just dropped by my parents place in my old home town and got to play some for 30 min. Entered a .5/1 NL game. Actually my first NL game ever, usually I play fixed limit and tourneys. Anyway,
sat down with 15$. Got dealt good card and some lucky cards to...
on first or second hand in LP or MP got KTo. Usually not a really good hand but I hadn't played in a while and wanted to be part of the action. Got 4-5 limpers. Flop comes awesome Q9J rainbow. Some heavy betting is going on (me all-in of course) and in the end my straight held up against a set of nines. Suddenly Ive got 51 bucks.
with pocket 99 and on flop came a Qc5c9s... I stuck with it dispite the flush threat, 6s turn and 6d hit the river... Betted and showdown opponent folded... Got around 70 bucks...
A few hands later got Ad3d in UTG or EP. What the heck, limped first in, always flush potential, call me loose if you want, but i wanted some action. 4-5 limpers. Flop comes Qd, 5d, and 9s I think... Now I was up against one guy betting heavily... called and on the river my fifth diamond fell. Opp betted hard again, 5$, I raised to 16$, he called and lost of course... had 100$ bucks... saw a few free hands more and then left the table...
Don't know what I wanted to say, but I just want to share the moment of not having played for a few month and then getting a great hands like this...
