Michael Jackson said to "Beat It"

I play a lot of online freeroll tourneys, some with as many as 800 contestants! I hate losing before the first hour in the larger ones, and even more so hate losing 15 minutes after the first hour. So, the remedy really is if you are in a situation where you call a good hand in hold 'em and someone behind you raises, and a loss here could significantly lower your bankroll... then just remember what Michael Jackson learned from the Poker tables....

"Just beat it, beat it, beat it, beat it... no one wants to be defeated!"

I don't normally change the way I play, especially for a freeroll.
Sure, I might muck a 10-9 suited when someone tosses out a substantial raise. But I figure "hey it's a freeroll, what have I lost".

I find that waiting for a high wired pair, and going all-in pre-flop will usually get you in a good position for slugging it out. In those freerolls, at least 1 always seems to call.

Just remember, bad beats are just that "Bad Beats". They are not the norm.
