Hi all.
This is my first post @ this forum.
I want to try to play poker but i dont have any friends that do..
I'm not that keen to go directly on online pokergames.
What is the best way to start playing poker without any friends!!!!!

How about fake money online? It won't really help you develop into a refined player (cause everyone plays like crap when it's fake money) but it will get you playing.

I've received quite a few invites for games in my area from this site. I have my regular group I play with and most of the invites have come from people I already know in my circuit, but if you don't know anyone, it's a good way to start.

How about that video game thing? ermmmmm i can't remember the exact name but it's a pc version of the world series of poker, from what i hear, the computer players actually remember your previous plays and adjust there play accordingly. sounds pretty good.
i think it may be called ..... world series of poker?

Spread the word around. Hold a tournement. Me and my brother decided to have a tournement and we let everyone we know about it. We got so many friends, friends of friends, co-workers, and others, that it became a monthly thing. This month we have of 50 people.
