Qutitting a great game.

Most writers just say DON'T.

I'm not sure I can continue to follow that advice. The other night I'm in a game where people are hemeraging money. One guy next to me dropped $1800 in less than 2 hours. Other people are sitting down with $800-1000 and just pissing through it clueless.

(oh, yeah, it was 10/20) Meanwhile I simply cannot win a hand. I'm taking nothing but great pot odds and playing solid cards all the way. I must have had 30 hands rivered buy off the wall straights and flushes. These awful players seeing every river are bound to beat someone...but it was ALWAYS me :x . Anyway I drop $1800 in 10 hours at the single most lucrative table I have ever seen. It's theoretically impossible to lose here. Every pot has 5 or 6 too many bets in it. But I get massacred. Worst loss ever by almost $800!

So...HOW do you leave the game of your dreams when you JUST CAN'T get anything to hold up?????? I know another guy who's a solid player who also sat through it for 12 hours and left $70 up. It was making us nuts. I always ask "Okay, what does a world class poker player do here?" I'm thinking he goes and sells his car and calls off work. But I'm $1200 ahead this week if I just loose my $600 buy-in and walk away, accept my personal stop-loss and drive home.

At one point after loosing when I flopped a J-high straight, I said to the table "There IS a poker God. And he's put me in HELL!"

I think that you keep rebuying until the cash runs out. NO credit card bs, but all my $$$ and ATM withdrawals.

BUT, these are the kinds of tables that I dont like. It is too frustrating when people are capping preflop and your KQ that you lay down might have been the best hand. It is very frustrating when you have to put in $60-100 preflop and you can never put someone on a hand.
