Has anyone played at Harrah's or Isle of Capri in Lake Charles? I'm going to be in Houston in a few weeks and would love to make a road trip to get in some table time and was wondering which one I should hit. I usually just play low limit.

Go to the Grand Casino in Coushatta. From what I remember it is only 25 mins north of Lake Charles.
It is big, clean and better than the damned boats.

I'm already going to have to drive From Houston and back each day to play. So adding another 30 minutes might start to get tough. If things suck at Lake Charles then I might give it a try.
Thanks though

Don't go to Grand Casino go to the Isle or Harrahs. Coushatta doesn't even have a real poker room it's just a little section that has been kinda roped off from the slots. The Isle has alot more tournaments to choose from during the week, however Harrahs Poker room is brand new and is pretty nice.

I ended up going to Harrahs. It was a nice room but they only had a few tables open and a wait list that didn't move. I ended up playing in a tournament that they had but it had three rebuys and an add on on the break and I wasn't willing to rebuy all night long. I got knocked out early and just cut my losses. I would have prefered to play a cash game though.
