Hey guys, awesome board!! I was playin my bro in Hold em the other day and I had pocket 3's. At the end of the betting, the five cards were something like 6-6-A-9-9. Two pair on the board...my bro has 8 high..thats it, I figure he wins because its the best five card hand but do I win because I had a pocket pair even though 3-pair is impossible? I need a 100% accurate response! Thanks guys!!

No it's a split pot. You both have two pair 6's and 9's with an A kicker.

sorry i believe it was a seven instead of an ace..I read somewhere else about the same scenario and he wins the pot since its only the best 5 card hand and he had the two pair with the high card. Since 3 pair doesnt exist I lose which really sucks! lol thanks for the reply!

Alright if it's a 7 on the board then yeah he wins.
