Anyone get a charge for like $9 on their credit card after ordering samples from Dice?
I did and the credit company says I signed up for some 'rewards' program.

What are you talking about?
The samples are not free. We do charge $9.99 for them and it is very clear we charge for them.
I am sure many people who read this board have ordered our sample package and will agree it is a great deal.

So do I! I'm not sold on the full graphic Chipco chips. I'm really hot on the old skool inlay with edgespots like the ASM chips, but I am very interested on seeing the Rounders chips. It's possible that I just dislike the full graphic because most I've seen abandon the whole color/denomination relationship.

since this thread has already been hijacked, Ill ask a question for dice702, did you stop selling the casbah chips??

Let me rephrase then-
Did anyone ever get a charge for like $9 to their credit card BESIDES the cost of the chips?
My credit card company confirmed it was charged by the website. For what I'd like to find out. Maybe I clicked a wrong button?

If you did get an extra charge why didn't you call my 800 number about it? Why did you post on this board accusing my company of scamming you?
Call tomorrow at 800 976 5373. If there was an extra charge I will get rid of it.
Nathan,
I sent you an email about the Casbah chips to your yahoo address.

Dice702 you need to advertise with the side view pics of the Rounders chip. I am impressed with them now and before I thought it was some cheeseball graphic. Still not sure if I would pay almost a buck a chip for them yet, but getting better.
Good lookin chip

First off, I didn't mean to slander your company, but wanted to see if anyone else experienced what I did, and if so, then let other readers imply what they will and more importantly, be aware.
Here is what the credit card company told me.
I somehow signed up for Reservation Rewards, through Dice 702, and was charged $9. I for one am sick and tired of buying things online and getting 'signed up' for other stuff which then forces me unravel the whole mess.
Does Dice 702 have any affiliation with Reservation Rewards?

If you're not paying attention to what you're doing when you use your credit card online then you're lucky you only have a $9 charge on there. If you are paying attention then you'll never have a problem "getting 'signed up' for other stuff," I've never experienced such a problem online by using a little common sense when I pull out the credit card.

I have no idea what a reservations reward is. Again my phone number is 800 976 5373.
Why didn't you call or send me any emails about this. My email is dice702@aol.com.
I would also like to know what this mysterious charge is.
Again, why haven't you made any contact with me about this. It is obvious no one else who bought a sample pack got this charge.
Did you ever consider this is a charge for shipping?

reason1,
Until you contact me by email or phone I can only assume your post was a slanderous attack.
If I ever saw an unauthorized charge on my card the first thing I would do was contact the company that made the charge.
Since you have already contacted your credit card company what is taking you so long to contact me???

I really like your new Rounders chips, Dice... They appear to be the shiznit... The only reason I would have to by another chip is because you do no offfer both the 1000 and 5000 chip. Have you considered adding these two denoms to your lineup? You'd get more attention from me...

A lil info on Reservation Rewards.
They are an obviously questionable company, but they have partnerships with Classmates.com, Half.com, Yahoo, as well as other numerous big-name sites.
Sounds like Reason1 signed up for something on one of those sites & left a box ticked about signing up for Reservation Rewards as well... (hey, if you aren't careful it can happen).
But the odds of Dice702 being associated with them, when Reservation Rewards' partners typically milliion-dollar companies doesn't add up.
I also question how Reason1's credit card company would have any info regarding which company was responsible for the Reservation Rewards tie-in.
Sounds like he signed up for something he didn't intend to, and honestly doesn't know how, and in the confusion is wrongly assuming it was Dice702.

Oh, and as a follow-up about Reservation Rewards.
They seem to be absolutely brutal in continuing to charge you each month based on numerous reports around the web... with the majority of people confused about how they got signed up in the first place.
So, Reason1, regardless of where the sign-up originated from, you may want to call back your CC co & do whatever it takes to block Reservation Rewards from charging your card in the future.

I have already ordered the 1000. They should be here in 4-6 weeks. Not sure about the 5000 chips yet.

When you get the 1000 denom. I am buying a set. I love the chips after seeing the REAL pics. I recommend you do the same on ebay and you will sell the felt right under those chips. Love the design. Good work.
Can we change the title of this post? It went from Scam to way to go Dice702!!!

For what it's worth Reason1, the same thing happened to me back in September. My guess is that Reservation Rewards company targeted busy web sites and caused a pop-up inquiring if you would like to sign up for their services.
This happened to me when I was purchasing chip samples from apachepokerchips.com. I thought I was simply closing the pop-up but apparently what ever I did accepted their offer.
When I first saw the charge from reservation rewards on my credit card bill, I didn't recognize the name but it was during a time when I had used my card often. Since it was only $9.00 I wrote it off as a purchase that I had forgotten about. The following month I noticed another $9.00 charge from reservation rewards listed on my bill. I didn't put anything on credit that month so I knew for sure something was wrong.
When I called my credit card company they gave me a 1-800 number to call for Reservation Rewards. When I did, their customer service person referenced the purchase made through Dice702.com as to when I signed up for their services. I told them that their services were never authorized by me and to refund my $18.00 dollars and cancel this supposed service. (which they did do)
Here is the Reservation Rewards Phone number if anyone at Dice702 would like to call them to discuss their bad business practices. 1-888-688-5995
BTW, I was amazed at how fast I got the Chip samples. I ordered on a Friday and they were in my hands on Monday!
