Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

Your buddy wins guy. Using all seven cards in holdem, he ends up with two pair Q's over 3's while you have two pair 7's over 3's. When I started here, we argued over and over about how it works between hole cards and board cards but in holdem you use all seven cards to make the best five card hand. Your buddy did get lucky someone else didn't have that 3 though. Hope I helped out. Later

Just to clarify, unlike in other games, in holdem ur hand can be entirely made up of the community cards and there is nothing to say that u have to use one or both of ur hole cards so ballbp is of course right in that ur friend wins cos the higher of his two pairs is larger than urs.
