We usually play like 1-2 or 4-8 holdem with friends
But I dont understand how the big blind and small blind work.
What is the order next to the dealer? and what amount is the minimum for a each blind?
Thanks for your help

If you are playing $1/$2 limit then the person on the dealers immediate left puts in the small blind (sb) $1, the person on their immediate left puts in the big blind (bb) $2
If you are playing 4/8 then the sb is 4 the bb is 8 etc.

Nope. If you are playing $1/$2 limit, than the person to the dealer's left puts in the small blind of $.50 and the person on their immediate left puts in the big blind of $1. 4/8 would be sb 2 and bb 4.

OH! WOW!
You are sooooooooo right!
I never noticed that before!
If you are playing 1/2 limit then it's .50/1 for the blinds.
If you are playing 1/2 No Limit it's 1/2.
Thats so wierd!!
I'm not a limit player so (boy does it show )

so in 1/2 limit holdem,
SB = .50
BB = 1
raises must be 1 pre flop and 2 after the flop?
or is it 1 before the turn, 2 after the turn?

No the bets and raises are $1 pre-flop and on the flop and $2 on the turn and river.
